Dhole Patil College of Engineering or simply DPCOE is an astounding college of engineering situated in the natural surroundings of Wagholi, Pune, in the state of Maharashtra, India. Pune is often referred to as the ‘Oxford of the East’ because of the presence of a huge number of educational institutions. The Dhole Patil College of Engineering imparts education in engineering as well as management.

It was established in the year 2008, and Sagar U. Dhole Patil is regarded as the founding father of this institution. The Dhole Patil College is a part of the Dhole Patil Education Society, DPES. The Dhole Patil family is a well-known business family in Pune, having a keen interest in social work, philanthropy, and education.

The Dhole Patil College of Engineering is approved by the AICTE New Delhi. The college is also affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The objective of the institution is to impart quality technical education to its students with international standards and encourage students to match global requirements. It aims to instill in the students a spirit of oneness and inspiration. The Dhole Patil College of Engineering has also adopted the ‘guru – shishya’ ideology which nurtures students and creates within them an ambition to reach the top.

The founding father of the Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Shri. Sagar U. Dhole Patil established a scheme in 2016 known as the “Dhole Patil Scholarship Scheme''. This scheme was established for students from economically weaker sections of society who could not afford quality education for their children. The candidates eligible for this scheme have to pay a subsidized amount of the tuition fee as well as the hostel fee. Every year more than 100 students are benefited from this Dhole Patil College of Engineering scholarship scheme.

Another scheme that DPCOE established is the “Kamaltai Ulhas Dhole Patil Scholarship” which was established in 2012 for the financially weaker and deprived students. This has been in force since 2012.

DPCOE aims to empower students by supporting the economically weaker sections and the academically outstanding sections of society through scholarships so that these sections can pursue quality higher education. The students are given financial assistance in order to meet their day-to-day expenses while studying.

These scholarships are awarded to the candidates on the basis of HSC results, aptitude tests, and personal interviews. The students' eligibility to apply for the scholarships is that they must have passed HSC from Maharashtra State Board/ CBSE/ICSE and DSE in the age group of 18-25 years.

The campus of Dhole Patil College of Engineering provides the following facilities to the students:

• Hostel- The hostel is situated within the campus with a capacity of 250 students. All the basic needs, including internet connection via wifi and a well-maintained mess, are provided to the students. A separate reading hall is also provided for the students who wish to study or work for extra hours.

• Transport- The college also delivers a bus facility, connecting all parts of Pune. This allows the students to commute easily from any place.

• Library- Since Dhole Patil College of Engineering is a hub to gain knowledge and also share knowledge among the students and the faculty, a well-established library is provided to all the students. The library comprises the latest journals and reference books to acquaint the students with the latest material.

• Canteen- After a day’s toil and hard work, the canteen located in the campus provides an aura of ambiance with high-quality food.

• Training and Placement Cell- The training and placement cell is an integral part of the college. This cell functions all year round to generate placements as well as training opportunities for the students. The cell also organizes training activities that prepare the students during campus placement drives.

• The Entrepreneurship Development Cell- This aims to develop the students' technical proficiency, managerial skills, and leadership qualities.

• Dhole Patil College of Engineering Moodle- This is an online platform where students can interact with the faculty regarding doubts and queries. All the notes are also shared on the moodle by the professors.

• Medical Facilities- Professional and experienced medical staff is also present on the campus in an emergency.

• Gymnasium- Gyms are also provided to stay fit and healthy for all the fitness freaks
